Transaction matching overview

Overview

The Transaction Matching Overview page helps you identify and manage transactions through flexible views and enhanced comparison features. It enables you to spot patterns, isolate unmatched transactions, and manage exceptions effectively through flexible views and navigation features.

Layout

Transaction States

Each transaction status is represented by colored chips:
  1. Green: Matched transactions (ECR and EFT pairs matched).
  2. Red: Unmatched transactions requiring manual intervention.
  3. Grey: Skipped transactions excluded from the matching process.

Viewing Options

You can select between two distinct views: By Organization Unit and By Payment Processor. For both of these views, you can choose to view all transactions or to focus on the exceptions.
  1. In the By Organization Unit view, you can identify where the most exceptions occur by drilling down into specific units (e.g., stores) and navigating within your organizational structure by expanding and collapsing items in the table. This view is particularly useful for locating exceptions within operational units.
  2. In the By Payment Processor view, you can further investigate unmatched transactions by drilling down into the specific card brands associated with each processor. This helps isolate issues linked to particular processors or card brands.

Exceptions Only View

In the Exceptions only view you can see the number and amounts of exceptions for both the ECR and EFT sides, along with their total sum. It helps you identify which exceptions have higher priority based on their amount.
You can click on any red chip in this view to navigate directly to the Exceptions page for detailed management of the selected transactions.

Features

Quick filter support

Use the icon next to organizational units or payment processors to switch between views, filtered by your selection. This helps you quickly isolate unmatched transactions and determine if the issue lies with a specific processor, unit, or both.
Alternatively, click the filter icon next to the organizational unit or payment processor to apply filters within the current view without switching

Flexible Date Selector

You can choose between different options, such as daily, weekly, monthly, or annually. This enables you to zoom in and out on the time axis, and for example quickly find older dates where transactions did not match.
